Breaking News: You Can't Trust Pictures on the Internet!
An apparent image from a news broadcast promises a cure for the new coronavirus
The consumption of marijuana is said to be effective against the new coronavirus.
However, the picture is fake; a meme page is the only source, and such news can easily be created yourself.
When looking for ways to combat the new coronavirus directly, users came up with more bizarre ideas, so the image currently being shared is one of the more harmless variants... but just as wrong:

On which news program was this reported?
In none ! There is no channel logo in the picture, so it would be difficult to find the source anyway. A reverse image search with Google shows that the cannabis image is often found on the Internet, but the breaking news image is found for the first time on a meme page where users can upload their own images and even create their own memes.
But this looks like a real news show!
The Internet also makes it easy: There are numerous “fake news generators” with which you can recreate such “breaking news” yourself .
And what if it might help against the new coronavirus?
COVID-19 (the new name of 2019-nCoV) is still being In a few cases, even antiviral drugs that have already been used against HIV, flu or Ebola led to improvement, but so far these have only been exceptions.
To get to the bottom of the marijuana claim, Indian site The Quint doctor Dr. Suranjit Chatterjee, who says:
“There is absolutely no scientific evidence to believe such claims. We are still trying to decipher the virus. Unless solid research is conducted, there is no reason to adhere to these statements.”
Dr. Sumit Ray adds that while cannabis is useful for stress and pain relief, and also helps against nausea, there is no evidence that it has an antiviral effect.

In search of a quick and easy cure, people are willing to believe anything. But you should not disinfectants cocaine or marijuana to fight a possible infection!
