The claim

On a sharepic there are supposed code words written by pedophiles, their desired inclusion in the LGBTQ+ scene and a flag that was born as a troll action.

Our conclusion

The alleged code words were created through a fake FBI document and an anonymous posting, the flag depicted does not exist in that form, the pedophile flag was created as a result of trolling, and the LGBTQ community never discussed putting the “P” in it to include the abbreviation.

Basically: Pedophilia as such is not punishable , but its practical practice (creating and possessing photos and videos of sexual violence against minors, sexual intercourse with minors) is , which in principle puts every person who comes out as a pedophile at risk to be placed under general suspicion. Nevertheless, there were apparently actually publicly confessed pedophiles at a CSD parade, which fueled the discussion and ultimately led to a sharepic, which contains a lot of false information.

The common sharepic

This sharepic is currently being shared on social media:

The sharepic about pedophiles
The sharepic about pedophiles

According to this, pedophiles have certain code words: cheese pizza = child pornography, pizza = confirmed code word with law enforcement, pasta = little boy, pizza = girl, hot dog = boy, cheese = little girl.

In addition, in the middle of the sharepic you can see a flag that represents a symbiosis of a modernized version of the rainbow flag and a supposedly official pedophile flag; it is referred to as the LGBTQP flag (P = Pedophile).

Below we will look at the individual claims and also look at the story behind the pedophile flag (the right part of the flag in the sharepic), which has now actually been seen at least once at a CSD parade.

The alleged code words

Let's think logically for a moment (even if this is difficult for some people): If you were a pedophile who somehow wanted to get a child or offer one: Would you really use any open forums and then also use code words that are half the price? world seems to know?

Correctly. Although, if you dig enough, you can actually find such requests for hot dogs and cheese in 4chan or 8kun forums, where everyone acts anonymously, for example, these are usually met with laughter (as trolls tend to be among themselves). quickly deleted again - serious inquiries are rarely involved.

But these alleged code words do have an origin, albeit one that has long since been refuted: an alleged FBI document that has been circulating on the Internet since 2016, but a mixture of a real document and part of the Pizzagate conspiracy myth.

A grossly forged document and the claim of origin in a forum
A grossly forged document and the claim of origin in a forum

While the grossly forged FBI document has only been circulating since around 2020, the claim that it was a code arose back in 2016 in an anonymous forum as a troll attempt to frame an email exchange about orders from a pizzeria as a pedophile. exchange (by the way, the always named pizzeria has no basement in which children could be tortured, which came to light when an armed man stormed it to free the children who were supposedly trapped there).

In fact, there is an actual FBI document from 2007 (see HERE ) about symbols and logos that were used by pedophiles back then, but certainly not today. However, an FBI document with code words used cannot be found anywhere - and if it is, it is only badly forged.

The alleged code words come from a troll posting from 2016 as part of the Pizzagate conspiracy myth, in which an attempt was made to expose orders from a pizzeria as code. However, the myth finally collapsed due to an armed attack on the pizzeria and the resulting police investigation.

Next, let's move on to the flag shown in the sharepic, because it doesn't exist.
Instead, two different flags were cobbled together there, but they have nothing to do with each other.

The flag: Left half

The left part of the flag is a modernized version of the Pride flag, which was designed by Daniel Quasar in 2018 and is called the “Progress Pride Flag”.

The flag includes black and brown stripes to represent marginalized LGBT communities of color, as well as the colors pink, light blue and white, which are also used .

The “P” is certainly not included in LGBTQ

Claims of this have been circulating for years , but no representative of any LGBTQ organization has ever advocated changing LGBTQ to LGBTP, let alone allowing pedophiles - even though certain pedophile associations may want to.

In a Reuters , a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign, a civil rights organization that advocates for LGBTQ equality, weighs in on the issue:

“The LGBTQ movement rejects any suggestion that our community is associated with non-consensual interpersonal behavior.”

And GLAAD , an organization that advocates for acceptance of the LGBTQ community in the media, told Reuters by email:

“No LGBTQ organization has endorsed pedophilia or advocated for adding a 'P' to the acronym in support of pedophiles.

It is a long-standing, homophobic and transphobic tactic to falsely compare LGBTQ people to pedophiles and being LGBTQ to pedophilia. This is degrading and disgusting. It pains me to clarify that the LGBTQ community does not endorse pedophilia and that LGBTP is not an acronym used or endorsed by the LGBTQ community.”

Let's summarize

  • The alleged code words, if they were ever used, are certainly no longer used today; their origin lies in an anonymous posting that was processed into a fake FBI document.
  • The flag shown does not exist in this form. On the contrary, the LGBTQ community vehemently resists including pedophiles.
  • The pedophile flag arose out of a trolling, but no more widespread use, apart from a few people at a CSD, has yet been found.
  • There has never been and will never be any question from the LGBTQ community about including the “P” in the abbreviation.

Overall, the widespread Sharepic is a hodgepodge of disinformation.
