The claim
A video shows a medic kneeling next to a woman during an airstrike in Ukraine. Apparently the video was staged.
Our conclusion
More than unlikely. Several reporters from various agencies filmed the scene and the woman's subsequent care.
A few days ago, a video appeared in various media outlets showing a medic kneeling protectively over a woman during an attack in Ukraine, while several other people sought shelter in a building.
An Austrian newspaper also posted the video and received criticism on Facebook because the video allegedly looked staged. But this is not the only recording, the video is real.
The video of the paramedic with the woman
In the video, which was shot in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, a paramedic can be seen staying with an obviously injured woman while other people flee into a building:
However, the authenticity of the video is questioned in the comments.
The fact check
The video is from Jerome Starkey , a reporter for The Sun (see HERE ). The original video, of which only the first 26 seconds were used by various media outlets, is over 2 minutes long (see HERE ) and shows further scenes from Kharkiv, but no longer what happened to the paramedic and the woman.
However, we hear this from other reporters. can on RadioFreeEurope , but supplemented with footage from reporters from the Associated Press (AP).
From second 15 you can see a shot of a person running into the building with the other people in the same scene. There you can see the paramedic and the woman (clearly recognizable by the purple jacket) from a different perspective.

From second 44 the scene can be seen again, this time after the attack. Several people wearing military and sanitary clothing can be seen looking after the man next to the door and the woman:

Update April 22nd
The paramedic's name is now also known:
His name is Denis Petrenko and he comes from Lugansk. He has been in Kharkiv almost since the beginning of the war of aggression.
ABC reporters were following a local Red Cross team making an urgent food delivery when they also came across Denis Petrenko and the woman. The Red Cross in Kharkiv also praises Denis' efforts:
Here the rescue mission for the woman can be seen again from a different perspective:
This is different angle. So, these people are not soldiers they are from territorial defense pic.twitter.com/U5tQboHnVG

A Ukrainian TV channel also interviewed Denis Petrenko about the events (see HERE ).
Conclusion
There are footage of the scene from multiple reports from different agencies from different angles, so there are only two possibilities: either it was all staged and all the reporters were colluding among themselves (as some apparently believe), or the scene is real - which is far more likely.
Also interesting:
A video is supposed to show the heavy fighting of the Donbass offensive, but the video is already from January 2022.
Distributed video does not show the current Donbass offensive in Ukraine
