There are always a lot of funny and bizarre pictures on social media. Many a sharepic and some memes cheer up the spirits of the participatory cultures of social media. These images are often shared and distributed through all possible channels. It doesn't matter whether this happens via Facebook, WhatsApp or Instagram. If something is funny or entertaining, it will spread. As well as this picture on which you can read a sign with the inscription “Pädergogische Hochschule”. A classic tool can help you check the facts: the image search! Image search is actually quite simple and can be done by any of us. Briefly explained: Take any image, open a search engine like Google and navigate to the image search there. In the image search on Google, for example, there is a small camera symbol in the search line. We click on this camera symbol.

We can now use the camera symbol to present the image we want to find to the search engine. The result in our case: yes, this photo is real! We get several references to Twitter from the search engine. It comes from 2015 and was recorded in Linz. We can find media reports on the photo from the Oberösterreichische Nachrichten and the KURIER . There it reads:

The corresponding “Interpädagogica” took place from Thursday, November 12th, 2015 to Saturday, November 14th, 2015 in the Design Center Linz. It was Austria's largest school and education fair. The University of Education had absolutely nothing to do with the error; it was a faux pas by the organizer.
