Apparently a payment of EUR 1259.00 was made and it was blocked.
Attention: This is just a made-up reason that criminals use to get you to click on a phishing page. Simply delete the message, recommends our cooperation partner Watchlist Internet !

It's nothing new for criminals to try to get your online banking information through phishing messages. The aim of the messages is always to get you to click on a fraudulent link by presenting false facts. Sometimes your data supposedly needs to be updated, sometimes regulations like PSD2 supposedly force banks to request new data.

This time a payment is said to have been made using your account, which of course you know nothing about. Therefore you should follow a link and log in to your online banking account:

Even if the news scares you at first, do not rush to follow the link to log into your account, as you will end up on a replica of the Raiffeisen website. If you enter data here, it will end up directly in the hands of criminals who can later use it to steal money from your accounts.

Log in to your banking in the usual way!

If you are not sure whether the message comes from your bank or what is behind the alleged payments or account blocking, then log into your banking as usual! Go to your usual website or start your app on your smartphone. There you will see that your bank has not sent you a message and that no payment has been initiated or blocked.

Have you already entered data?

If you have already entered your bank details on the fraudulent websites, contact your bank as soon as possible. It may be necessary to block your account. In any case, your login details must be updated so that criminals do not have access to your account.

If payments have already been made and your bank can no longer recover them, the only option left is to go to the police and file a report.
