The doors and windows are thrown wide open to finally let spring fully into homes and hearts. But the good mood doesn't infect everyone: Those affected report bad-tempered or even aggressive spam scammers because they didn't get their way over the phone. Still, they don't let up. It was particularly popular this month to convince users of supposed competitions, as was the case with 015217828228. What was new, however, were the calls from an alleged “reminder office in Berlin” (015783349220), which contacted those called about a dunning procedure. Clever Dialer, the app for spam protection and caller ID, lists the top 10 most annoying phone numbers in April, four of which are already old friends: places one, two, four and seven were already part of the ranking in March.

The spam phone numbers in April and the comments of those affected:

  • 03016637169 (cost trap):
“I accepted the call and it hung up. It went on like that all the time. The last time someone got in touch. Apparently I or a family member took part in a survey. Very pushy, that guy. Now it’s blocked.”
  • 06920436149 (Other):
“When you answer, you immediately hang up, or you can hear an indefinable voice that is choppy and incomprehensible for a short time. No indication of who or what the reason for the call was!”
  • +31686390365 (competition):
    “Magazine sales, subscription trap.”
  • 061194583283 (Other):
“Couldn't answer the call straight away and called back. The participant only reports with their private name and only gives the company name when asked. A company that wants to offer you a change of energy provider and, when you express your disinterest, cheekily asks if you haven’t heard about the high price increases.”
  • 015212895454 (Other):
“Supposedly something to do with electricity and how do they know my address? The funny thing is, you can never call that number back.”
  • 030439729066 (Other):
“We wanted to talk us into an electricity contract. My objection that I wasn't interested was ignored and the lady on the other end became even more aggressive in her chatter. Then I hung up and blocked the number.”
  • 015217828228 (cost trap):
“Ask whether you would still be interested in taking part in a 'raffle'. I mentioned that I never signed up for any lottery. The caller was very pushy, so I hung up and blocked the number.”
  • 080020033407 (competition):
“Claiming you took part in a competition and won an Amazon voucher. I hung up straight away.”
  • 015783349220 (competition):
“Fraud! Alleged legal department to collect the outstanding competition entries. Caution! Blocked!"
  • 04065589050 (advertising):
“Insurance. I have now told them that I have no interest in any insurance. I also explained that they should stop calling. I’m really excited.”
