The start of spring on March 20th made people's hearts beat faster - but the spam calls last month really touched the pulse of those affected. Many reported being contacted about new energy contracts or ongoing competitions.
Telephone spam: The new number is 040607739320.
Similar to the ping-call principle, spammers try to get calls back from those affected by sending SMS messages. Knives, but also “foot detoxification plasters” are said to be sold via 08938038701. Clever Dialer , the app for spam protection and caller ID, counted 200,000 spam calls in Germany last month alone and is now publishing the 10 phone numbers that called most often.

The spam phone numbers in March and the comments of those affected:
- 06920436149 (Other): “This phone number has been calling here all day. I'm sick and I can't keep answering the phone when no one answers.
- 03016637169 (cost trap) : “Apparently won the Aldi competition – cost trap! Number blocked.”
- 061194583283 (Other) : “Even on Saturday lunchtime they're annoying to no end. Energy blah, blah, blah. If you call back, the number doesn’t exist.”
- 040607739320 (Other): “I received a call information via SMS about a missed call, which did not actually occur.”
- 030439729064 (cost trap) : “'Energy advice' – Brazen! I asked where they got my cell phone number… I would have taken part in a survey! I never do it, and I definitely don't give out my number! When I hung up, she called again: 'The connection was interrupted for a moment.'”
- 089488167 (competition) : “Apparently played the lottery, automatically in the competition and in the terms and conditions you have to cancel. Now they’re annoying with an annual contract!”
- 080020033407 (competition) : “They had my address and cell phone number and said I had won a trip to Dubai. They wanted my date of birth and IBAN number, I don't know exactly why, the woman talked so quickly and a lot. When I asked for written documents, she only wanted to send them to me after providing my IBAN. Definitely not. I hope they leave me alone.”
- 01633637113 (Competition) : “Can't remember activating a competition. To compare, I should confirm my bank details, which she sees 'Here'. When I said, start with the first numbers, she suddenly couldn't see them."
- 069204369294 (cost trap): “Energy advice or want to talk you into a new contract.”
- 08938038701 (cost trap): “Hard to understand, wants to sell knives.”
