“Ukrainian soldiers praying.
Another part of the unseen story. Join them in praying.” In German: “Ukrainian soldiers praying. Another part of the invisible story. Pray with them.”

Facebook post from March 6, 2022

The post seems entirely plausible. Many Ukrainian soldiers will certainly be praying at the moment. But the photo does not show the current situation.

Photo in circulation since at least 2017

When you do a reverse image search you come across some Facebook posts that show this image (2018 – HERE ) or 2017 – here:

The caption here states that this is a scene from Georgia, Fort Benning, but this cannot be confirmed.
What is certain, however, is that this photo was published in 2017, almost five years before Russia invaded Ukraine.

Conclusion

The photo shows soldiers praying together, but it has been in circulation since at least 2017. It is therefore not possible that it is a recent recording showing Ukrainian soldiers praying.
