Two men who wanted to escape were arrested on #Breitscheidplatz . According to @Tagesspiegel information, the two are not Islamist threats. One of the two probably had contact with Islamist circles in North Rhine-Westphalia.

All clear! Two men have conspicuously moved away from Breitscheidplatz. Security forces captured and questioned the people. A mix-up of names led to a rumor that suspects were in Islamist circles.

All clear. The police did arrest two men who behaved suspiciously. One of them was probably wanted. Then evacuation and search. Until it turned out: the name was transmitted incorrectly

The search for suspicious objects at #Breitscheidplatz has been ended. Nothing has been found. When he was taken into custody, the name was recorded incorrectly, which is probably why some colleagues suspected that he was a threat. However, there are contacts in Islamist circles between the two. https://t.co/YcoL6uBxgP
