Your package has arrived at our ATPOST sorting center. Pay the import costs via: http://at-packaging.store
Link leads to fake post website
If you tap on the link, you will land on a fake post website. There you will find the tracking status of your supposed package and the information that your package is being held in a “nearest depot” and that you need to check or confirm something.

When you click on the “Start Verification” button, you will be asked to enter personal information such as name, email address, address, telephone number, etc. As a next step, you will receive instructions to pay €4.50 by credit card.

that you are on a fake postal website by looking at the internet address . The internet address of the fake page is “https://at-packaging.store/at/c”. The real one is “ www.post.at ”.
Identity theft and false payments
If you enter your data into the form, it will end up with the criminals. We assume that the criminals will trigger a higher payment than the €4.50. By moving the decimal point, you would not release €4.50, but most likely €450.00.
Another possibility is that the criminals contact you at a later date and use an excuse to convince you to release a payment.
Entered data? This is what you can do:
- Contact your credit card provider and explain the incident. Your card probably needs to be blocked.
- Watch out for unusual charges . Amounts that were debited without your consent (e.g. amounts that were not mentioned during the purchase) must be refunded by your payment service provider (credit card company) in accordance with Section 67 of the Payment Services Act 2018.
- File a police report.
