Actually. The Ukrainian Post held a competition to choose the design of a new stamp by voting. The theme was given: “Russian warship, go f**k yourself!” – A statement from Ukrainian soldiers on Snake Island in response to a radio message from a Russian warship.
On February 24, 2022, the day Russia began its invasion of Ukraine, soldiers on Snake Island in the Black Sea received a radio message from a Russian warship. They should lay down their weapons and surrender, otherwise they would be bombed. With the answer “Russian warship, go f**k yourself” they succinctly expressed what they thought of this proposal.
At first it was assumed that all the soldiers were killed here. However, it later emerged that they had surrendered after running out of ammunition. They are alive but in Russian captivity, Focus .
Competition to design a new stamp
This topic has now been taken up by the Ukrainian postal service to design a new stamp. Artists were called upon to submit their designs. In a competition, users could vote and choose the winner. The submitted designs were published on the Ukrainian Post Facebook page . The winner should be announced on March 11th.

We received almost 500 emails with stamp ideas!
⠀
We planned to submit all works for voting, but we did not expect that the number of those who wanted to participate would be so large that the competition would go beyond Ukraine.
⠀
We also decided to select the 20 best illustrations from a philatelic point of view and you can choose the one we will print.
⠀
With this stamp you can even send your sheets and sheets overseas.
And most importantly, they will convey the message that you already know very well: “Russian warship, **** you!” ⠀
Now the whole world will see it!
⠀
Choose an illustration you like and leave the number in the comments.
