This type of blackmail email has appeared repeatedly in this form in recent years. We ourselves have been reporting on this for at least 5 years. The subject of this email: “Your private information was stolen due to suspicious events”
The scammers claim that they have access to private information or compromising materials about the recipient. In order not to publish or share their alleged information, scammers demand payment, often in the form of cryptocurrencies.
In these emails, criminals claim that they have hacked the recipient's computer and filmed them performing intimate acts. To prevent the material from being made public, they require a payment of 1,650 EUR in the form of Bitcoins.
They even claim that a special "special driver" leaves the virus undetected on the recipient's device or changes the signature every 4 hours. However, this is just a trick to create uncertainty and pressure the recipient into paying.
The subject: “Your private information was stolen due to suspicious events”

The email contains the following wording:
Why do I receive emails like this?
It is important to note that these emails are not addressed to you personally. Criminals have databases with many email addresses and send these messages to numerous recipients indiscriminately. Therefore, there is a possibility that you will receive other similar emails in the future.
There is no way to completely prevent such emails. However, you can manually move them to your spam folder so that your email program is better able to detect dubious messages in the future. To be on the safe side, you can also run a virus scan on your devices.
This is a common fraud method
The emails often contain personal information to make potential victims feel like the scammers actually have access to their computer. However, this data most often comes from acquired or hacked databases. In some cases, the emails even include phone numbers or banking information.
If you receive such an email, you should report it to the police, which can also be done easily online. You should also check your bank accounts and change passwords. It is important to use strong passwords and use a separate password for each account.
It is generally possible for the camera of a laptop or PC to be hacked. To make sure this doesn't happen, you can cover or tape the lens shut. If such emails contain file attachments, they should not be opened as this can lead to the unnoticed installation of viruses, Trojans or similar on the devices.
