Unfortunately, violent videos are a guarantee of widespread distribution on Facebook. In this case, too, a video was posted without any further context. What exactly happened?

“Drunk husband hits his wife and her little boy, we want help to share this video and arrest it…”
...that's the video description. In German: “Drunk husband beats wife and their little boy, we want to help spread this video to get him arrested…”
Real help?
In the video, which we understandably won't show directly here, you can see a man beating a woman on the street, a little boy tries to intervene and hits the man to protect the woman.
Now the question is: when is the video from? Where did it originate? Is the creator's meager description correct?
These are all points that will show one thing straight away: the creator of the posting is not interested in finding the man, but in likes and shares. If he had written the more detailed information, everyone would know how pointless it is to share this video.
What exactly happened
The video was taken in June 2018 in China, more precisely in the eastern Zhejiang Province. Local news reported on it, but it was only through the British tabloid site “ The Sun ” that the video was distributed internationally.
As numerous eyewitnesses reported, the husband beat his wife after he found selfies on her cell phone that she sent to her lover, as well as photos of the two of them. While he beats his wife, the son tries to protect his mother and also hits the father.
The video also sparked outrage in China as none of the many people standing by intervened. It is also not known whether the police intervened directly.
Sharing unnecessary!
So what's the point of sharing this video on Facebook? Correct: no sense ! The crime took place in China, the video is known there and there were numerous eyewitnesses to the event. This doesn't help the woman, the child or the police in China by spreading the video with a vague description!
Conclusion
This is not about help finding the perpetrator, just likes and shares. The video is real, but was made in China, where the video is well known. However, it is not known to what extent the father will now be held criminally responsible there.
