There are currently more and more photos on social media showing the sight of Punta Ventana on Puerto Rico. Unfortunately not in the way we know the striking rock formation.
Punta Ventana is a tourist attraction on the Caribbean island. It is a rock formation with a large hole. This large hole (window = Spanish Ventana) is responsible for the name of the natural monument.
However, more and more photos have now appeared in which this window can no longer be seen. According to the photos, the rock formation has collapsed.

These pictures are unlikely to be fake: media reports worldwide describe that Punta Ventana was destroyed in an earthquake. This is said to have happened early Monday morning (January 6th, 2020).
The earthquake measured 5.8 on the Richter scale. It was not the only quake in Puerto Rico in recent weeks, but it was one of the strongest. There was another earthquake on the island on January 7th, 2020 ( compare ).
