Since Corona, doctors and nursing staff have increasingly been subjected to a real hunt. This is often completely irrational, simply because vaccinations are not suitable for certain people or protective masks are worn or because the helpers and assistants can no longer smile during continuous use. Anonymity in social media and rating platforms
en leaves hate speech and lies unreflected and unpunished! The Donaustadt primary care team makes an emotional appeal to the population.
More respect for rescuers and helpers!
“It is a worrying development. This is despite the fact that the vast majority of the population supports the measures, institutions and helpers that have been put in place for the health of all of us. But a small minority are doing everything they can to condemn, disrupt and sabotage the work of the hundreds of thousands of helpers and have even driven a doctor to her death and even applauded her on the Internet. This is just sick and blind madness to satisfy one's own sensitivities and pathological need for recognition.
Where is the solidarity? Where is the sense of community that characterized our society? Living together is only possible through solidarity. We live in a democracy, not anarchy. We at Donaustadt Primary Care are once again calling for solidarity and support for all volunteers, volunteers and professional helpers who maintain our safety and health.”
Dr. Regina Ewald, medical director of primary care in Donaustadt
All of us, including us doctors, are dependent on the rescuers and helpers in our system
“As a doctor who practices on a daily basis, I am dependent on the countless helping hands that make it possible to provide our patients with extensive care. To be honest, patients would be alone if we didn't have emergency services, nursing staff, medical administrative staff, doctors and the fire brigade to support them. Each of us has had to make room for emergency vehicles, and we've all been stuck in traffic jams. Even when you're stressed, you can just take a deep breath and say to yourself: There's nothing wrong with me or my loved ones - thank God!"
Dr. Regina Ewald, medical director of primary care in Donaustadt
A functioning state depends on its helpers - but hardly anyone thanks them
Anyone who has decided to help does so with heart and soul! But when these people are then insulted or given hate messages on the Internet or in “social” media for their commitment, for working through nights and weekends, for canceling vacations, for years of working 100 hours a week and for the superhuman effort of the last two years , then frustration and disappointment are just great. Should these helping people give up and leave the stage to the agitators and liars and the eternally dissatisfied?
“Let's stop hating, agitation and just 'nagging'. Let's support our helpers again as long as there are still people who would like to be there for other people. Thank you to everyone who continues to help, continues to save, continues to support and is there for us in an emergency!”
Dr. Regina Ewald, medical director of primary care in Donaustadt
Support via social media
Helpers want more support in social networks.
“Your support is also possible with understanding and motivating words on social media and rating platforms!”
