status post back in January 2018 . This is currently being shared and commented on again. That's probably why we're getting so many user requests about it at the moment. The status post is about a user warning about ceramic shards in a can of “RINTI” dog food! He had already found this in November 2017. At least that's what his status post says:
RINTI dog food
I already reported on
RINTI dog food In a can of RINTI dog food we found ceramic shards that were quite likely to cause internal injuries. On November 16th I informed the manufacturer by email and receipt was confirmed by the company. At the end of December we again found shards in another RINTI can, but this time they were even larger and more numerous. I informed the manufacturer in a new email and asked for a status report. To date, however, there has been no response from the manufacturer. We have drawn our conclusions from this knowledge and experience and no longer buy this food. Our dogs were successfully switched to DM food. This is more than half cheaper and, according to our vet, no worse, but without any broken pieces. To warn other dog owners, it would be nice if this post was shared as often as possible.” ( Source )

In his status post, the user mentioned that he had not received any communication from the manufacturer to date, although he had confronted them about it.
We asked around!
We contacted the manufacturer, FINNERN, and informed them of the allegations. We received the following statement:

As wording.
As a family business, Finnern GmbH & Co Kg is extremely aware of its responsibility for a balanced and species-appropriate diet for the four-legged family members! Therefore, any complaints about the products are taken very seriously and are followed up comprehensively! This also happened in the case of the Rinti canned food complaint mentioned in the status report: here the production batch was recalled from the market as a precautionary measure immediately after it became known. In addition, we will inform the affected consumer directly about the measures taken!
The lack of reaction from our company mentioned in the article therefore in no way corresponds to our approach to such important matters!
Kind regards,
Finnern GmbH & Co. KG
