"Thank you very much for your participation!
Share our post, be sure to invite your friends
Visit our official website and follow the instructions https://is.gd/Rossmann…”

Of course, sharing here means: “Please spread our fake on Facebook so that we can find more victims that we can rip off.”
And the “official website” has the term “Rossmann” in the URL and in the title, but that’s everything other than official. This is a page set up on Google Sites. And no: serious companies don't do that. The official Rossmann website can still be found at https://www.rossmann.de/

The “official website”

Behind the ominous URL mentioned in the comment from “Rossmann Deutschland” is a page that is modeled on Rossmann’s official website.
At the bottom of the page there is a long text that was copied from the original Rossmann page. This is probably intended to convince you of the seriousness of this site. The fact that it was simply stolen should not bother anyone.

In any case, you will immediately be congratulated and asked to complete registration. If you click on “Register” here (please don’t try this yourself!), you will be directed to Google Play to download an app. At this point we cannot say with certainty whether you always get the same app. In such “competitions” the processes often change.

Sometimes you get to this app, sometimes to that one. Sometimes you are directed to sites where you take out subscriptions and then receive a lot of annoying spam in the form of calls, emails, etc. And sometimes you download malware onto your cell phone with a careless click.

The fake Facebook page

Where the alarm bells should ring is when you visit the Facebook page. Just because the page was titled “Rossmann Germany” doesn’t mean that the company is actually behind it. When you look at the number of followers you could start to think. Current status: 200 followers, 168 likes the page. That's very little for a well-known company.

A look at the page transparency shows us that the page was created on May 17, 2022:

In contrast, Rossmann's official Facebook page almost two million followers.

Conclusion

Such “competitions” are circulating en masse on Facebook every day. And it's always about spreading this crap even further. The goal and purpose behind it is to reach as many people as possible in order to be able to distribute subscriptions, spam, malware, etc. as frequently as possible.

So don’t comment lightly, don’t share and think “If that’s nothing, I haven’t lost anything”. These competitions thrive on the fact that they are always diligently distributed and there will always be gullible people who obediently enter their data and thus fall into the trap.

In short: there is nothing to win here!
