But anyone who enters their data here is playing it directly into the hands of the fraudsters. Without realizing it, you have given away the key to your digital identity.
Emotional Manipulation: Fear as a Weapon
Scammers are not amateurs. You know that fear is one of the strongest human emotions. “Your account will be blocked!” – sentences like this cause panic. You want to act quickly, you want to secure your data. This is exactly what the fraudsters take advantage of. It's a game with our emotions that we can only lose.
Safety first: How to protect yourself
- Look twice : Check the message for spelling and grammatical errors. Even with correctly worded messages, you should still be skeptical.
- Avoid links : Don't click on links in messages carelessly, especially if they are unexpected.
