The claim
A photo is said to show a shark swimming in the water on an interstate in Florida after Hurricane Ian.
Our conclusion
The photo of the sea creature dates back to 2003. It was first manipulated in 2011 and “photoshopped” into a street filled with water.
Everything on the internet is true. And when someone claims something is wrong, it is only because “they” want to hide the truth. It's so. We have to know, after all we at Mimikama are from the Ministry of Truth™. That's why there's a shark swimming in the streets of Florida that got there because of Hurricane Ian. Holy word of honor!
Holy shit…..!
We always say that you should make sure that information on the Internet comes from trustworthy sources. And what is more trustworthy than a blue tick verified page on Facebook?

The photo with the alleged souvenir from Hurricane Ian has been circulating on the Internet not just for the last few days, but since the end of September on Twitter, among others, where it received over half a million likes:
The Internet's Oldest Shark!
This shark is really getting around! Year after year, almost every hurricane season in the USA, he swims through some highway or interstate in the USA. And always sits in exactly the same pose. Just like last year . Or 2018 .
Ah, there he was in New Orleans, Hurricane Ida took him away. But before we show you every alleged sighting of Bruce ( yes, I call him Bruce. Like the shark in “Finding Nemo” ), let’s get straight to the source: The year 2011!

So we already know that it's not current, but is it real?
Hai Carramba!
The picture above is already a few years old, but the shark in the picture is even older: it was photographed in 2003 . However, neither in Puerto Rico nor in the USA, but in South Africa! The photographer Michael Scholl took the sensational photo at the time:

Let's compare Bruce in the two pictures:

Conclusion
This means that it is not only an old photo, but also a fake one. But we are sure that, as in previous years, the photo will appear again during the next hurricane and be declared real!
But still: everything on the internet is true. And if we Mimikamas claim the opposite, it is even more true. So please spread this photo the next time there is a hurricane so that we always have something to do. 😉
