One second, one look and it's over - with togetherness and with life!
With your partner at a TV evening, in a restaurant, on the way to see friends: one second, one look and it's over - togetherness and life. Head up. The cell phone can wait.
N-JOY , the young program from NDR, has a new video about the campaign “ Heads up. The cell phone can wait ” published to warn about the dangers of smartphones behind the wheel, which we are happy to pass on at this point.
First, a few more facts
- 77.1 percent use their cell phone while driving. 28.9 percent have already found themselves in a dangerous situation! (Automobile Club Germany / TÜV Süd)
- 5.8 percent of drivers on the highway type on their smartphone while driving (TU-Braunschweig)
- “One hand away from the wheel and your eyes away from the road – that is the strongest form of distraction” (Prof. Dr. Mark Vollrath, TU Braunschweig)
- “Texting while driving is just as dangerous as driving with a blood alcohol level of 1.1.” (Prof. Dr. Mark Vollrath, TU Braunschweig)
- If you look at your cell phone for one second at 100 km/h, you will drive blindly for around 30 meters.
- According to estimates, one in ten accidents in Germany is caused by prohibited cell phone use. (ADAC)
- In Austria, every third accident can be attributed to distraction. Hardly any figures are collected in Germany. (Statistics Austria / Board of Trustees for Road Safety)
