A rather amateurish spam email promises a generous transfer that is still pending, but then lures you to a fraudulent website that facilitates the account more than it fills it up.
This is what the email looks like that has the meaningless title “Checking your data” and comes from an “Emmi Pauli”:

“Hello customer no.
310529, please complete your free registration to receive this transfer.”
Below you will find a transfer amount of 1,274 euros, your own email address and a link to “view your account balance”.
Whose customer am I?
That's not clear from the email at all. Any bank or company in Berlin that has an “Emmi Pauli” in the “finance department”. And apparently you have a customer number that people use to address you. Sure, names are boring, numbers sound much cooler!
From alleged account balances to crypto fraud
If we now click on the link contained in the email, we don't see an account balance, but rather a very dubious page:

“Trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and earn €5,489 in the next 24 hours”
...is promised wholeheartedly. Suddenly there is no longer any question of viewing the account balance. You can already tell that this site is not entirely kosher by the fake customer reviews . Here is a small example, the recession on the left, the original photo :

What happens if I register there?
Then the money burning begins! The only thing free of charge is registration. Once you have done this, you first have to transfer money to a broker's account. At this moment someone is already earning money because the link in this email is a so-called affiliate link . You can tell this because there is a combination of letters and numbers behind the actual URL.

The more the unsuspecting customer invests, the more the anonymous fraudster who sent the email gets as a share.
Binary options minefield
On that page you can now trade with so-called binary options. Two actions can occur with binary options: The predicted event occurs, whereby traders receive a predetermined amount. The predicted event does not occur, causing traders to suffer a loss.
So you basically have to estimate correctly whether a price is going up or down. What sounds so simple is, in practice, extremely difficult for the layperson and involves risks. Personal credit card details can be misused for fraudulent purposes, the price can be manipulated by the broker or the winnings cannot be distributed.
Now there are actually reputable providers of binary options.
If you are really interested in trading binary options, then you should have excellent knowledge of the stock market and then it is best to ask your trusted bank for trustworthy brokers. However, statistically speaking, 74% – 89% of private investors losses with binary options , so you really need to think very carefully.
Conclusion
A spam email lures you to a page that has nothing to do with the content of the email.
Instead, you should register to trade cryptocurrencies. The link on the page contains an affiliate code, so someone earns money by registering and making deposits. The positive customer reviews are falsified across the board, every single photo is stolen from somewhere else on the Internet, and the promise of profits is grossly exaggerated. In addition, the owner of the site is hiding behind the “ Whois Privacy Corp.” “, a company that conceals the real identity of a domain owner in exchange for money.

This also protects the owner from lawsuits from deceived users.
