Some stories only become really exciting when you look at the overall situation. This is also the case here in this family dispute between an SPD politician and his parents.
The most important thing about “SPD politician has both parents forcibly thrown out of the house” in brief:
- The video is real
- The eviction was preceded by a successful lawsuit
- There are (also political) tensions within the family
A short video can be found on social media in which a woman is taken away by police officers against her will. There are many people on site who witness this and film the situation.
The scene is an apartment evacuation. According to the video and the description of the video, the woman who defends herself is the mother of the Zwickau SPD politician Mario Pecher. You can read about the video:

INHUMAN! SPD politician Mario Pecher has his mother (75) and father (78, in need of care) forcibly thrown out of their house by 40 officers! The family dog is tranquilized with a gun and sent to an animal shelter. The father is now in a nursing home and the mother is homeless.
This no longer has ANYTHING to do with a constitutional state!
Visually, the video appears on Facebook, but as a shared video on WhatsApp, in the following form:

As already mentioned at the beginning, there is a story behind this video, which is not conveyed in the status message or in the video. The fact check reveals a not very pleasant family dispute.
Fact check: “SPD politician has both parents forcibly thrown out of the house”
Started: Yes, the video is real. It shows an eviction carried out by the police. This eviction took place on January 28, 2020, and the Sächsisches Tageblatt reported on it, among other things. There you read:
A major police operation has been underway in Zwickau-Eckersbach since Tuesday morning. Around 40 emergency services ensure a forced eviction ordered by the district court. Several ambulances drove up.
It's about a residential building on Karl-Marx-Straße that belongs to the Zwickau SPD leader Mario Pecher. His parents live there and he has sued them out of the house.
So far the recordings are correct, as is the information about the evacuation.

omission
The problem: The video, as well as the description, leaves out information that is of course necessary for the overall situation. The eviction is not purely arbitrary on the part of an individual, but rather a legal dispute that SPD man Mario Pecher won.
This legal dispute was not just about the apartment, but also about the family restaurant. The family ran the “Zum Sternblick” restaurant in Zwickau-Eckersbach for many years.
The evacuation of the restaurant took place in December 2017, which also appeared in the media. The regional advertising paper Blick.de wrote about this on December 4, 2017:
On Monday morning around 8:30 a.m. there was a major police operation in Zwickau-Eckersbach. The officers were on site to provide administrative assistance to support a bailiff. This was commissioned to enforce a judgment against the operator of the “Zum Sternblick” restaurant, Waltraud Pecher.
Focus Online's reporting on this topic shows that the family is very divided. You get the sense that the entire situation is very emotionally charged, but ultimately also political.
There was also another trial in 2019 that Waltraud Pechner lost. This trial was about an insult. According to the newspaper Tag24, Waltraud Pechner is said to have insulted a justice secretary in a letter as a “NSDAP German” ( compare ).
Family and politics: SPD, CDU & ADPM (formerly AfD)
What is not obvious at first glance and is not clear from the video is that the individual family members are politically active in different parties. While the video clearly states that the son is an SPD politician in Zwickau, it is only secondaryly revealed in the accompanying reporting that his wife Kerstin Nicolaus is a CDU politician in the Saxon state parliament ( compare ).
But the mother who is taken away in the video is also not a political unknown. the woman from Zwickau ran for the ADPM (Awakening of German Patriots in Central Germany). This is the small party founded by Poggenburg in response to his departure from the AfD.
Waltraud Pecher, like Poggenburg, was previously active in the AfD; the AfD Zwickau also reported on the family dispute in 2017 ( see here ).
Summarized
There's a lot of explosive stuff in there! The video is real, and so is the eviction. The constellation mother - son - daughter-in-law is active in three different parties at different political levels. The verdict and the eviction itself are also brought onto the political stage.
