Have you been mentioned in a YouTube video? Anyone who has been mentioned in a comment on a supposed YouTube video should be very careful!
These traps on Facebook are no fun and can even have extremely dangerous consequences! However, let's start from the beginning. First, you will receive a message in the notifications on Facebook that you have been tagged in a comment on a video. This is not dangerous so far, just a bait to get your attention.
If you now look at what this marking is all about, you end up in a status message that is supposed to be a YouTube video. Below this status message you will find comments in which several accounts have been marked. So several people were attracted here. These status messages occur in the following ways:
With these markings and the lack of information about what exactly it is about, a curiosity gap is created. Since the tagged people ultimately want to know why they were mentioned here (curiosity or self-protection), many are likely to follow the supposed YouTube link.
Bad trap!
However, this link turns out to be a trap. Instead of a video, you see a fake Facebook login. This login is supposedly necessary to connect to the Facebook anti-stalker app. Quick note: there is no app like this on Facebook! This is a classic phishing trap.
Anyone who enters their own access data in this field is putting their data into the hands of fraudsters:
If this data is then in the hands of fraudsters, they can log into the user's account, which can have fatal consequences!
Dangerous aftermath!
The information that these fraudsters can then extract from the accounts is used, for example, in the recently surfaced blackmail emails. Family members, employers and your own data are used here. The fraudsters also have access to their victims' Facebook chat and conduct manipulated conversations there, which are later sent in the form of evidence as part of the blackmail scam.
The whole blackmail method here: Facebook blackmail
Please be very careful. Phishing traps in which Facebook login details are eavesdropped on are no fun!
