You'd think this would be another false rumor, but that's not the case!
At least in Saxony, but also in other federal states, refugees get taxi rides to offices paid for by the state administration. Politics doesn't make any friends with this.

“This is a scandal like no other!!!
No wonder that “refugees” feel like kings when they are also provided with “chauffeurs”…
All you can do is throw up what is paid for on the backs of taxpayers…”
...this is how the status creator gets upset about a report from the MDR. And he's not entirely wrong, because the state government's argument is a little thin.
What is it about?
The MDR broadcaster “exakt” showed that taxi rides in Saxony are free for refugees if they involve trips to the authorities. The length of the route is irrelevant. As you can see in the report, trips of 400 meters are also carried out. “ Easy money ,” said a taxi driver. But trips to offices 80 kilometers away including waiting times of up to 4 hours in front of the office are also billed, a trip that can easily cost over €300.
What does the Saxony State Directorate say about this?
Lt. The state management was not available for an interview with the MDR, only a short written statement was made:

“Because asylum seekers lack local knowledge, there is a high risk that when using public transport they will not show up for the agreed appointments or not show up on time.”
They further said:
“The necessity of using a taxi is generally examined in each individual case. Public transport is used wherever possible.”
Taxis would only be used for the return journey after medical treatment if a patient transport certificate was available, reports the Leipziger Volkszeitung .
Other voices
As MOPO24 reports , this practice also annoys the taxpayers' association.
“This practice is incomprehensible! “This is a bad example where the state has failed and is not respecting proportionality,” said Thomas Meyer.
The state senior citizens' representative of Dinge also spoke up:
"While we pensioners have to pay for our trips to offices ourselves and health insurance companies rarely cover longer trips to specialist treatment, asylum seekers are chauffeured across the country," says Christel Demmler, chairwoman of the senior citizens' association from Kirchberg near Zwickau.
The error in the system
Can we blame the refugees for this approach? No certainly not. This method was not devised by refugees or refugee workers, but by politicians who make it a little too easy for themselves. There are also other ways to keep travel costs as low as possible.
It would be conceivable, for example, to have an information booklet in the respective national language in which the bus routes and stops are explained and recorded to refugees. The administration should also be more flexible, because it makes no sense if a refugee has to travel 80 kilometers to an office if he could fill out and sign the necessary papers on site.
This is where politics and administration come into play. As you can clearly see from the above Facebook status, only one thing happens through such procedures: further discontent is stirred up. But there is resentment towards the refugees, who, with the best will in the world, cannot help this approach. The evil refugees who thereby cost taxpayers money. And when it comes to taxes, everyone is sensitive. So in your anger you look for the weakest link: the refugee.
Dear politicians, dear Saxony State Directorate and all other countries that act like this:
Please try a little harder. We know it's easier for you to put a refugee in a taxi. But that is not a solution. Especially not a permanent one. We give taxi drivers extra income, but as you can see from the MDR report, they don't feel comfortable with it either. They also know that the money they earn is based on, let's put it bluntly, inflexible or lazy politics.
We hope that you can come up with something else in this regard. And goes within you. only the refugees and the taxpayers suffer from your inflexibility
