In this text, various statements were put into Julia Gillard's mouth that did not come from her.

We are once again receiving inquiries about an alleged speech that Australian Minister Julia Gillard is said to have given.

The text is long:

Europe is missing politicians like this!!!

Speech by Australian Minister Julia Gillard

Le droit de partir…..!!

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law have been ordered to leave Australia because the government sees them as radicals preparing possible terrorist attacks.
Gillard also drew the ire of some Australian Muslims when she emphasized her support for intelligence activities spying on mosques in his country.
She literally said:
“IMGIVERS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADJUST”.
Accept it or leave the country.
I'm tired of this nation constantly having to worry about offending some individuals or their country.
Since the terrorist attacks in Bali, we have felt an increasing sense of patriotism among the majority of Australians.
This culture has grown over more than two centuries, shaped by battles, trials and victories by millions of women and men, all of whom only sought and wanted peace.
We speak mostly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Italian, German or other languages.
Therefore, if you want to become part of our society...
learn our language! Most Australians believe in God.
It is not a few Christians, it is not a political right wing, it is not a politically motivated coercion, no, it is a fact, because Christian women and men, with Christian principles, founded this nation and this is clearly documented.
And it is certainly appropriate to express this on the walls of our schools.
If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of this world as your new home, because God is part of OUR culture.
We will accept your beliefs and will not question them.
All we ask is that you accept our faith and live with us in harmony, peace and joy.
This is OUR NATION, OUR COUNTRY and OUR LIFESTYLE and we give you every opportunity to enjoy and share all of these achievements with us.
But if you are constantly complaining, seeking pity, burning our flags, condemning our faith, disrespecting our Christian values, condemning our way of life, then I encourage you to take advantage of another benefit of our great Australian democracy and society:
THE RIGHT TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY!
If you're not happy here, LEAVE!
We didn't force you to come here.
You asked to be here.
So accept the country that has accepted you.”

Feel free to share.

The fact check

We already dealt with this text in December .

First of all, these important notes :

None of the sentences were or are from Julia Gillard.
The aim of this article is not to evaluate the content of the text , but to determine whether Julia Gillard actually made these statements or not.

Julia Gillard was actually Australia's Prime Minister. From 2010 – 2013. These statements cannot therefore be current, but would have to be three to six years old. But of course that alone doesn't refute the statement.

“Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law have been ordered to leave Australia because the government sees them as radicals who are preparing possible terrorist attacks. “Gillard also incurred the ire of some Australian Muslims because she emphasized supporting intelligence activities spying on mosques in his country.”

In fact, those statements were made, some of them true, by Australian politicians. However, not by Julia Gillard, but in 2005 by the then Education Minister Dr. Brendan Nelson and Prime Minister John Howard in connection with the London Underground terrorist attacks in July 2005.

“She literally said:
“IMGIVERS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADJUST”.
Accept it or leave the country.
I'm tired of this nation constantly having to worry about offending some individuals or their country.
Since the terrorist attacks in Bali, we have felt an increasing sense of patriotism among the majority of Australians.
(…)”

These words do not come from Julia Gillard either.

From the sentence “Accept it…” to the end (we don’t want to burden you with the whole text), you can read the personal words and opinion of US Air Force veteran Barry Loudermilk, which he wrote in an article with the Names “ This is America. Like it or leave it. ” published shortly after the attacks on the WTC in September 2001. Of course, you can no longer find the specific paragraphs about the USA in the German version of this article.

But those statements are also partly false, as the site “ Break the Chain ,” the great-grandfather of Mimikama, a site dedicated to debunking chain letters (“Break the Chain”), emphasized at the time.

Result:

Only the first part of the text was actually uttered by Australian politicians. (Although 2005)

The second part presents the personal opinion of a US veteran who wrote provocative columns at the time and expressed his views on 9/11.

Finally, a reminder: This is not about the content itself. Everyone can and may classify this for themselves. The only thing is that these sentences do NOT come from the Australian minister. In this respect, it is entirely possible to remove the parts from the text that specifically refer to Australia and Gillard and write: I see it this way. Then at least the fake would have been removed.
