Emojis are a thing of the past. You can now use yourself as a sticker on Facebook.

The new Facebook avatars have arrived – the most important thing to start with:

Design yourself as a sticker to express your emotions or reactions. Facebook has now released the feature to create your own avatar.

After iPhone's "memoji" and Snapchat's "bitmoji", more and more users wanted to "immortalize" themselves as an avatar and be able to use them as stickers in comments or in chats.
Now Facebook followed with its avatars.

The stickers can only be designed from your smartphone. Once they are saved here, they can also be used in the desktop version.

How do you create your avatar?

If you stumble across an avatar in comments or in Messenger, the symbol for it appears next to it.
If you click on this, you will get to the avatar editor. You can also access the editor directly from the sticker overview. Here too, simply click on the symbol and get started.

You can select a wide variety of properties in the editor. Skin color, face shape, eye shape and color, hairstyle and hair color through to accessories such as glasses and headgear.

If you have forgotten what you actually look like, you can activate the front camera on your cell phone by clicking on the “mirror symbol” and compare your avatar with yourself.

If you are satisfied, click on the check mark at the top right to complete and save the avatar you have just created. - Complete.

Now the most personalized sticker pack is among the available stickers. You can use these in chats or in the news feed for comments.

If you've been to the hairdresser again, got some color in the summer or grown a beard, you can also reflect these changes in the stickers.

Here you will also find the option to delete your avatar. To do this, simply click on the “trash can” symbol at the top right.
