We already know the allegations regarding the Smiling Bunny and the Zipfelmann... but is this calendar actually the definitive proof that Islamization is taking place?
Since yesterday we have been receiving inquiries about this picture:
The picture shows the current Ramadan calendar from the company gama-zuckersuess for 2018. According to the owner, the company gama has been producing this calendar since 2015 .
In this case it is sold at Kaufland. Upon request, the company confirmed that the calendar was actually being sold for the first time since this year.

What is a Ramadan calendar?
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. Since it follows the 28-day lunar cycle, the month of Ramadan moves forward 10 or 11 days per year and thus gradually goes through all the seasons. Ramadan ends with a three-day festival, the Sugar Festival. The Sugar Festival is one of the most important festivals in Islam. Regionally varying Ramadan calendars for adults show not only the exact date but also the exact time of sunrise and sunset to determine prayer and fasting times.
Ramadan calendars for children were first produced and sold in Germany in 2000 by Ines Balcik for Kandil.de. They accompany Muslim and non-Muslim children through the month of fasting and are based on the principle of the Advent calendar: a calendar window or a small gift package can be opened every day of Ramadan.
When asked by Mimikama, the inventor Ines Balcik replied:
Kandil no longer produces or sells calendars; I ran an online shop on the website until around 2013. We didn't sell through retail back then.
Over the last 18 years I have seen providers come and go. Only in the last three or four years have some of them become firmly established.
The Ramadan calendars for children support intercultural understanding because they playfully promote understanding of other traditions. Not only is Advent a time full of surprises, secrets, bright children's eyes and special customs, the 30 days of the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan are also a time of togetherness, reflection and joy.
However, there are two differences:
While the Advent calendar helps impatient children to bridge the time until Christmas, the Ramadan calendar helps them to consciously enjoy every single day of Ramadan - so that in the end no one miscounts the days, as once happened to Nasreddin Hodscha, the humorous oriental folk hero, which is depicted on many Ramadan calendars.
On the other hand, unlike the Advent calendar, the Ramadan calendar should only be opened in the evening when family and friends have gathered to break the fast together. Then the children receive their Iftar surprise (Turkish: Iftarık) from the Ramadan calendar. Iftarlık for children has a long tradition in many Muslim countries of origin. The Ramadan calendars for children take up this tradition and combine it with the German tradition of Advent calendars.
Result:
The Ramadan calendar is modeled on the Christian Advent calendar. It has been available for purchase from various suppliers in Germany for 18 years; it is a German invention, just like the Advent calendar. It does not serve to “Islamize” but rather guides Muslim children through Ramadan towards one of the most important Muslim festivals, the Sugar Festival. The custom of the Advent calendar was adapted and adopted by Muslim fellow citizens for their children for Ramadan. No Islamization in sight. More like Christianization . Or simply a clever business idea?
Since 2014 there has also been Iftarlender , also a Ramadan calendar filled with chocolate, which is aimed more at adults in terms of content and presentation.
According to the Huffingtonpost , the attempt to create the next chocolate Islamization scandal after the Islamization bunny have failed.
