In many a mailbox, left by unknown neighbors, you can find a referendum for a new constitution.

So we were made aware that a strange letter with an unknown sender was found in mailboxes, apparently printed out by eager fellow citizens who were calling on their neighbors to agree to the enforcement of Article 146 of the Basic Law.

Here is a picture of the letter:

The referendum
The referendum

The letter begins with the mention of Article 146 of the Basic Law and then contains the assertion that the Basic Law is not a constitution at all, but rather that the article calls for the German people to decide on a constitution.

Fortunately, the author of the letter, identified there only as “VV/BSD”, V-Assembly and “Federal State of Germany”, already has a plan if enough people can agree to “fulfillment of Article 146 of the Basic Law”. But we'll get to that soon!

Article 146 GG

This says :

“This Basic Law, which applies to the entire German people after the unity and freedom of Germany has been completed, loses its validity on the day on which a constitution that has been freely decided by the German people comes into force.”

In principle, the article says that the Basic Law could be invalidated by a majority vote of the people.
The VV/BSD doesn't seem to be really satisfied with this basic law, which is why they are making the above letter available their website as a PDF

Why does this Article 146 GG exist?

This has to do with the history of the Basic Law!
When the Basic Law was promulgated on May 23, 1949, it was basically just a kind of emergency building to “give state life a new order for a transitional period”. Nobody seriously suspected that it would still be valid for over 60 years, as it was assumed that the division of Germany would only apply for a very limited time, after which a “real” constitution would be created.

This is also the reason why the Basic Law, which has the character of a complete constitution due to its extensive regulations, does not also have the name “Constitution”: It was originally only intended to serve as a transitional period, a legal basis , a basic law , be.

A special character that characterizes the Basic Law as a comprehensive constitution:
it regulates not only the rights of the state organs, but also those of the individual, which is made clear right at the beginning with Article 1: “ Human dignity is inviolable ”.

And that already refutes an assertion in the letter, which states that the Basic Law is not a constitution and that it still needs to be determined: Yes, it is a constitution, it just doesn't have that name for historical reasons!

Intermediate push – The biggest hurdle for the Basic Law

The Basic Law has already survived a lot, the most difficult hurdle was German reunification.
It should be said that the agreement at that time was also difficult because Article 23 of the Basic Law at the time stated:

“This Basic Law initially applies in the areas of Baden, Bavaria, Bremen, Greater Berlin, Hamburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Schleswig-Holstein, Württemberg-Baden and Württemberg-Hohenzollern. In other parts of Germany it must come into force after their accession.”

So there was no reunification in the strict sense, but the GDR would have had to join Germany. Since this was now unthinkable for the GDR, an “international treaty on reunification” was concluded instead - known as the Unification Treaty , which, among other things, regulates all changes to the Basic Law resulting from accession, the harmonization of laws and the reorganization of public administration.

In principle, the GDR had already joined Germany, although the laws had been harmonized. One of the changed laws is also Article 146 of the Basic Law, because since then there have been the words “ that after the unity and freedom of Germany has been completed, this applies to the entire German people ”, which were not there from 1949 to 1990.

What chances of success does the referendum have?

This basic law, which actually only represented an emergency solution, has existed for over 60 years, but was not replaced by a new constitution after reunification, but was only adjusted in important points.

And now comes an ominous organization that wants to force a new constitution by collecting signatures. In principle this would even be possible, but the chances of success are more than unlikely. Over the decades of its existence, the Basic Law has proven to be a very stable and functioning constitution, so it takes a huge upheaval to be able to shake it up.

But let's just hypothetically assume that the VV/BSD is successful: What are they actually planning?
Let's take a closer look!

Who is the VV/BSD?

The current page of the “ Constituent Assembly ” does not contain much more text than on the letter and only contains a single link, namely to the “State of Germany” page, where the referendum can also In December 2019 the site looked a little different.

Among other things, a quasi-alternative version of reunification is described there:
At that time, it would not have been possible to restore “Germany as a whole within the borders of December 31, 1937”, although all Allies were supposedly committed to this, which is why Germany is in principle still under trusteeship be.

At this point the “Constituent Assembly” comes into play, which claims to be above the Basic Law, the existing courts and the elected government. However, not everyone is allowed to take part, you first have to present your ancestry certificates up to 1914, so to speak, providing “ Aryan proof ”!

The dreams of a Reich citizen movement

What would happen if this organization implemented its Reichsbürger dreams can be read on a subpage that was not linked on the new page. Let's list a few points:

  • All police employees will immediately be temporarily elevated to the status of public servants
  • Confiscation of the media including the TV broadcasting stations as well as immediate arrest of the editors-in-chief and the imposition of house arrest on these people until the trial begins
  • Ban on all parties, confiscation of party assets and imprisonment of party leaders
  • Seizure of all private banks and return to statehood. Arrests of board members and supervisory boards
  • Exit from the euro, creation of a national bank with its own national currency
  • Temporary leave of absence for the entire judicial system
  • Immediate removal of all foreign troops from German soil, termination of all relevant contracts
  • Employees of school authorities, teachers and educators who promote early sexualization will be suspended from duty and, after a thorough examination of the matter, may be banned from working
  • Release all prisoners who are being held because of demands for money

But our absolute favorite place is this:

“Comprehensive cessation of all flights that spread chemicals and are carried out in the Federal Republic of Germany under the official name “geoengineering””

In other words: They will then ban “ chemtrails .” So not only Reich citizens with a penchant for a totalitarian system that smells suspiciously of the Third Reich, but also aluminum hats.

Conclusion

Anyone who finds such a letter in their mailbox can be sure that they have a citizen of the Reich as their neighbor who longs for nothing other than a totalitarian system that many would-be dictators can only dream of.
