This is not the first time that the Thermomix brand has been misused for competitions.
Not only that, these fake sites even have very similar names. In October 2017, Tom also reported on a Thermomix fake competition whose Facebook page name was “Recipe World”.
So what does the current fake competition look like?

Important‼ Write us a PRIVATE message via messenger with “participated” so that your participation is confirmed
The rest of the text is displayed on an image - scammers are also becoming more creative as Facebook fights against fakes
Because even if you can find an imprint on the site, it's worth taking a second look:

On the one hand, there is the Recipe World website – the official Thermomix community from Vorwerk. On the other hand, the company is located in the real imprint on the original Thermomix website at Mühlenweg 17 – 37, 42270 Wuppertal.
Thermomix also has a real presence on Facebook . The address can also be found here on Mühlenweg.
The posts on the Thermomix Recipe World Facebook page also sometimes seem “off-topic”. Viral stories that are supposed to attract users are also shared.
Back to the creativity of scammers. Anyone who participates via private message will receive the following:

You are referred to a link that leads to an external website:

Suddenly there is no longer a Thermomix win from Vorwerk, but a food processor from Kitchenaid. This information also indicates that Vorwerk has nothing to do with this competition:
Yes, I agree that the companies listed on the sponsor list will inform me by post, telephone, email or SMS about offers from their respective business area. I can revoke my consent at any time with effect for the future. More information here .
KitchenAid is neither the organizer nor sponsor of the competition and has no business relationship with 7sections GmbH. The organizer of this competition is 7sections GmbH.
This competition was redirected to an affiliate program . If you now submit your data, you will be “blessed” with tons of advertising as part of your participation.
Result:
We have often found EXACTLY THIS method, just with other vouchers as bait. In addition to 7sections GmbH, other lead generators also collect data using the same method - much to the annoyance of the companies used as decoys. So far we have mostly noticed Proleagion, adpublisher, red lemon media GmbH, Lead Spot Media, Proleagion and Planet49.
The entire page structure and status posts don't seem very serious.
You can recognize such ominous competitions when you read, for example: “Press like and you’ll get into our lottery pot!” and “Whoever shares the post has a double chance!” and then “The page -name-of-the-page- must be marked as liked!” Another indication is if the following content is NOT AVAILABLE:
- Site owner/contact person
- imprint
- Contact option
- Conditions of Participation
- Exemption from Facebook
Reputable companies deal with the topic of competitions on Facebook and also create them correctly. Among other things, reputable organizers ensure that an imprint, a contact and conditions of participation are available, which are also necessary from a legal perspective.
What else can happen
Note: Why does this competition exist? Of course there is a financial interest behind these sites. There are various ways in which you can profit from successful fake competitions. Everything is possible, from harmless page sales to nasty subscription traps. So far, we have observed large numbers of fake competitions that these types of competitions are always very similar. In the first stage they shine with their easy participation. You should share and like a high-quality potential win. Anyone can do it, it's not a hurdle. This attracts people.
Possibility of “side sales” / “like farming”
With the help of these attracting events the site is then “bred”. The site operator is working to increase fan numbers. At a certain point, this site will be for sale. The fans just wonder at some point what content they will see after the sale and why they liked this page.
“Affiliate” option
Once the number of participants reaches a certain point, the description of the competition will be changed. The terms and conditions of participation are supplemented and a link is usually included that you should follow. There are some affiliate programs waiting there through which the “organizer” collects commissions. WAP billing subscription trap hidden behind the link for visitors via smartphone (from which the organizer also collects commissions, of course). Every now and then you can find these sophisticated Facebook pages for sale on eBay.
So again:
It's a fake. There is no Thermomix to win!
