There was a post on Twitter in which it was reported that Thomas Anders informed his fan clubs via email about the actual situation in Ukraine.
Some users interpreted this as if he had sent a newsletter. However, he informed us directly by email.
Current situation in Ukraine
Of course, Thomas Anders also received numerous congratulations from many fans and fan clubs on his birthday on March 1st.
Same from Russia. Along with the congratulations, a fan club leader from Russia expressed her regret about the postponement of the planned Russian tour. She found it a shame that this would not take place at the moment because of a “small conflict” and because there were “maneuvers”. Anders felt the need to correct this.
“I then wrote to her: Rockets are flying into cities like Kiev and others, people are dying, this is no small conflict.”

Educational email from Thomas Anders
In Russia's media landscape, independent media no longer have a chance to report on the actual situation. Last week, a new law was passed that makes publishing “alleged false information” punishable by up to 15 years in prison ( HERE ). Among other things, Russia's attack on Ukraine cannot be called a “war”.
Thomas Anders is doing educational work here and is aware:
“If I alienate fans with my 'educational email', then unfortunately that's the case. But I won’t let myself be denied the opportunity to stand up for my values and attitude.”
