Despite strong competition and challenges from other social media platforms as well as numerous regulations and restrictions in some regions, the emerging social network continues to thrive.

Strong cultural influence

With this number of users, the company will far exceed Instagram, which last recorded a billion users in 2018. TikTok's growth rate is unique; no other social network has gained so much cultural influence so quickly in the past - even though the platform had to give up one of its largest markets with 500 million users due to regulatory measures in India.
