Trump's election campaign: Did TikTok users cause empty seats at a campaign appearance in Tulsa?
The depiction of the Trump team looks different, but TikTok users may have succeeded in ensuring empty visitor seats at US President Trump's rally in Tulsa.
campaign in Tulsa
Brad Parscale, Trump's campaign manager, appeared triumphant when he announced that there had been more than a million ticket requests for Trump's rally in Tulsa.
It sounded like a full house, but the event was sparsely attended. Many places remained empty. Video broadcasts for people outside the rally who would no longer be able to get a seat were canceled.

What has happened there?
On June 11, Trump's campaign team called for people to reserve tickets for the rally via smartphone. This obviously laid the foundation for an opportunity that numerous teenagers now took advantage of.
Calls have been launched online to register but then not attend the event.
Numerous TikTok users and K-pop fans followed this idea. In TikTok videos, teenagers were seen saying they had registered for the Trump Rally but couldn't go because they were sick or the dog's goldfish funeral was happening that day.
These views also spread to other networks such as Instagram and Snapchat. They were seen by millions of people and apparently many followed their example. As a result, numerous seats remained empty at the event.

Attempts to explain by the Trump team
Donald Trump's team justified the low number of visitors by saying that demonstrators and troublemakers were turned away at the entrances.
Tim Murtaugh, a spokesman for the campaign team, was still confident of victory and said: “Leftists always think they are particularly clever. But we thank you for your contact details.”
Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasia-Cortez commented on a tweet:
Actually you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/ fake ticket reservations & tricked you into believing a million people wanted your white supremacist open mic enough to pack an arena during COVID
Shout out to Zoomers. Y'all make me so proud. ☺️ https://t.co/jGrp5bSZ9T

As far as the “obtained” contact details are concerned, the quality of them is questionable. The majority of reservations were made under false names and telephone numbers. The data is therefore of no use.
