What the heck did Trump post on Twitter again? Somehow... oh let's leave it alone.

It is what it is: Politicians are increasingly using social media simply to provoke. False reports are deliberately posted just to create reactions. And it's not just Trump who does that.

There is the AfD man Brandner, who (according to his own statements) intentionally published a misleading tweet based on a bet about the fact that the “children's” Advent calendar might no longer be called an Advent calendar at all.

But there is another way: FPÖ politician Hofer appeared on TikTok with a snub nose and dog ears in a short clip. Politically, all of this is completely irrelevant. Naturally. But it attracts attention.

To come back to Trump: Just like his tweet with the dog. This thing actually has zero relevance. At least politically. He previously posted the image on October 30, 2019 with the caption “AMERICAN HERO!”

No, this picture was not originally his. That's no secret, you don't have to take away Trump's Photoshop. The origin of the picture is on the picture itself.

Why all this?

There's a reason Trump went crazy. It's about the dog that helped hunt down IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. This military dog was injured and is now being heroically celebrated by Trump.

The photo of Trump with the dog, meanwhile, is based on a picture of the president presenting the Medal of Honor to a Vietnam War doctor in 2017.

So let's leave it alone. Let's just not get upset about it, but instead ask ourselves how best to ignore all these social media provocations. For example, by not giving them a like, a comment or a share/retweet.
