Fact check: UN Agenda 2030 – No plan for a world government

A common image on the Internet puts forward the thesis, especially in Switzerland, that the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN are actually aimed at establishing a new world order that will subjugate humanity. Topics such as genetic engineering in food production, a general vaccination requirement, fluoridation of drinking water and the scenario of an energy shortage are listed as part of this agenda.

Details on the UN Agenda 2030:

In 2015, UN member states agreed on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This action plan focuses on goals such as poverty reduction, equality and environmental protection. The agenda is based on the sovereignty of the member states and aims at international cooperation. ( Source )

UN and World Government – ​​An Analysis:

The UN agenda respects the political independence of all states. Establishing a world government is neither the goal of the UN nor legally feasible. According to expert opinions from the University of Zurich and Bern, the UN Charter is based on the cooperation of sovereign nation states, not on their subordination.
