Regular readers may have already missed her, but “Ute Christoff” and all her name derivatives are like herpes: they keep coming back!
At least once a quarter we write about chain letters that warn about alleged viruses such as Tobias Mathis , Anouk Theiler , Marcel Hohmann , Paolo Tizzanini and Ute Christoff, who was also once Ute Lehr (can viruses actually get married?).
So that you don't think that we're just sucking it up because we're bored: No! In fact, this chain letter warning is going around again:

“Please tell everyone on your list not to accept contact with 'Ute Christoff'! This is a virus (via WhatsApp, etc.) that destroys the entire hard drive and downloads the data. If one of your contacts catches it, you will also be affected because it eats its way through the list! so copy and send!!! If the number 0171 9626509 calls you, don't answer it! Is a hacker and all your contacts will be affected too! It was also confirmed by EUROP1 and RTL this morning!
Forward!"

Same text, always different name
The chain letter itself has existed since 2011 and was first spread on Facebook in postings and PMs. The names and telephone numbers changed from time to time over the years.
It all started with a so-called Moritz Häupl and a Christian Wick . In 2012, Christian Wick suddenly became Marcel Hohmann and then in 2014 Domenik Beuting and Andreas Opitz . It continued in 2015 with Ute Christoff . Ute Christoff then became Ute Lehr and now we have reached Hannes B
Technically impossible
No matter what the alleged viruses are called (yes, strangely enough, viruses have first and last names), it is absolutely impossible to catch a virus, especially not one, just by accepting a contact, be it on WhatsApp or Facebook Virus that “destroys the hard drive” (cell phones have hard drives?) and pulls down data.

If you receive such a message, please do not forward it or copy it!
- Ute Christoff is not a virus. At most she could be a user.
- It also cannot destroy a hard drive or download any data.
- Even if a friend had “Ute Christoff” as a “friend”, she would still not have access to your data.
- “Because she eats her way through the list….” We hope that Ute Christoff doesn't choke and has a full stomach.
Conclusion
We ask you on behalf of all real users who happen to be called Ute Christoff, Marcel Hohmann, Domenik Beuting etc. and whose names appear in this chain letter:
Please stop spreading this chain letter!
