The police ask you not to send the video any further!
As the Bavaria / Swabia South / West police report, a video clip relating to an assault that is circulating widely on the Internet is currently triggering a police investigation.
Since the beginning of this week, the film sequence has been shared countless times, mainly via an instant messaging service. It shows an assault that occurred last weekend at a gas station. After a brief verbal argument, a man struck a woman in the face. She apparently lost consciousness for a short time.
The Kempten police station is now investigating who recorded this video film from the surveillance camera and who posted it publicly on the Internet. Such a publication massively violates the personal rights of all recognizable people, and also represents a violation of the art copyright law. This means that not only the perpetrator of the bodily harm, but also the victim and other uninvolved people can be clearly identified.
Of course, investigations are also underway against the man for the assault. As is now known, this is the friend of the victim who was slightly injured by the blow. The identities of both, as well as neutral witnesses, are known to the investigating officers.
Once the police investigation has been completed, it will be handed over to the Kempten public prosecutor's office.
