For most countries, visa applications are free or very cheap. Dubious providers charge a lot of money and collect personal data.
Fraudsters try to take money out of users' pockets with dubious offers for a visa and also collect personal data from their victims. The prices for entry permits on the platforms are much higher than on the official government websites.
For example, the fraudsters charge 90 euros for an actually free holiday visa for Australia.
The Watchlist Internet explains what you need to pay attention to so that your vacation budget is not unnecessarily burdened:
Tip for a secure visa:
Use the Foreign Ministry’s “Countries A to Z”!
The Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) offers a detailed list of countries A to Z. Here you will find all travel information for your holiday destinations. If you select a country, you can find out under “Entry & Exit” whether a visa is necessary and where you can officially apply for it.

However, if you google “Visa Vietnam”, for example, numerous more or less dubious offers appear. So you run the risk of not ending up on the official website.
