Always children's photos - and rarely with the right story. But Charlie isn't beaten, quite the opposite. Her parents fight for Charlie to live.

Charlie wasn't beaten: Since the beginning of October, we've received repeated requests for a photo to be shared on Facebook. You can see a small child with blood dripping from his mouth. Apparently it was hit:

Parents who hit their children like in this picture are the worst thing for me

Please don't scroll any further if you're in favor of the fact that you should be punished for something like that!!!

Please don't forget to share!!!

The fact check

The child shown is a girl with cancer - so she was not beaten by her parents!

Her name is Charlie and she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in January 2019. Her parents maintain a Facebook page to inform about Charlie's fate, including the picture shown above, which Charlie's parents have now watermarked:

This donation account was set up to support Charlie and her family .

Conclusion:

Time and time again, users come up with the idea of stealing photos, adding a new story to them and uploading them again without citing the source - this is also abuse.

The user says:

“Parents who hit their children like in this picture are the worst thing for me ????

WE mean:

Users who abuse children with cancer for fake news are the worst thing for us ????

To insinuate that Charlie's parents beat her is a bottomless impudence and takes away the chance to share the true background and perhaps find new supporters for a child with cancer. Of course, that doesn't mean that we think hitting children is good - quite the opposite.

For every person who is capable of empathy, it is natural to be AGAINST VIOLENCE, especially when it comes to children. We are also in favor of punishing violence against children. But what kind of blow must it be for the relatives of a child who is fighting for his life and still has to defend himself against such rumors?

Facebook users who want to raise awareness about an issue are wonderful and will definitely find ways to get the word out without coming at the expense of children with cancer and their families.
