The Mönchengladbach police also took note of this. The local press office also received various inquiries about this matter and the fact that there had been no reports about it from there.

The Mönchengladbach police share the findings available so far here:

The 25-year-old stated the following in the post from December 11th and her own answers in the comments: On the evening of December 10th, she spoke to two unknown men who were tampering with her parked car in the said parking lot. They then turned around and one of the men “pulled a knife through her face.” After pointing out the police in another user's comment, she stated that one of the men had been "caught." The men were foreigners.

Research into the police's internal systems showed that throughout the entire period surrounding the crime...

  • no corresponding police operation took place at the crime scene or in the wider surrounding area.
  • This also applies to the hospitals in question.
  • No corresponding call was made to the police.
  • There was also no written process.
  • The police did not arrest, detain or anything similar in such circumstances.

On Thursday afternoon (December 12th) the injured person appeared at the police and filed a criminal complaint against an unknown person for the crime described above. The extensive cut on his face was treated in hospital and required stitches.
