Pages on Facebook repeatedly claim to be part of the company and threaten that pages will be closed due to alleged copyright violations if you do not verify yourself via a certain link. A “Server Network Registry Corporation” is currently trying to use this method to access user accounts. But the links provided are phishing scams, which means you will lose your entire account! We HERE .
Now the cybercrime police from Switzerland are also warning about this fraud : Facebook users suddenly receive a message that they have violated the Facebook community standards and guidelines. The message contains a link that leads to an online form. However, this only serves the fraudsters to obtain the login data in order to take over the user's account.
These are these or similar status posts

Meta Community Standards Team.
The scam
The scammers try to present the message as authentic and mark the message as urgent/important.
By accusing users of violating Facebook community standards and guidelines and threatening to have their accounts blocked, the fraudsters put the necessary pressure on users so that they may carelessly click on the link listed in the message. (In this regard, it should be added that the link has only been optically adjusted and the incorrect domain cannot be recognized immediately.)
If users click on the link, they will be taken to a website created by the fraudsters where they will be asked for personal information and login details.
If the users provide this information truthfully, the fraudsters will be able to immediately access the user's Facebook account and adjust the login data.
Once the fraudsters receive the correct login details, they access the Facebook account. As usual, this triggers a security message on the stored email address.
What do i have to do?
- Make sure that reports actually come from the relevant platform operators
- Only contact the platform operators using their official contact details and inquire about their authenticity
- Mark such messages as spam and delete them
- Do not click on links in messages or reports carelessly
I have already entered my details and my account has been taken over
- If you receive the security alert, respond immediately
- Report to Facebook using the appropriate reporting platform and follow the instructions to get your account back
- To be on the safe side, change all login details for your other accounts immediately (in this regard, it should be added that ideally you use different passwords for each account and change them regularly)
- If you have stored credit card information in your account, contact the credit card issuer immediately
I have suffered financial or other damage
- File a criminal report with your local police station
Tip
If you are unsure whether a login page is real, you should simply try to log in with imaginary data, for example username: serfgerfxd@esrgrte.com , password: fgbvdrffgbcvfddg .
Pages like the one above often require double entry, but you can also use alphabet jumble for the second entry. If this input works, you can be sure that you have landed on a fake page!
Such fraudulent sites appear again and again, and they often have names like “Facebook Support” or “Facebook Security”.
