Cute pictures of young kittens and dogs on websites that are intended to inspire trust encourage people to make careless orders and advance payments. A delivery never takes place - no matter how many payment requests from the criminal breeders are complied with! Our Watchlist Internet partners have taken a closer look and are warning!
Such a cute little animal...?!
Have you always wanted a cute pet and came across the right dog or kitten online? Under no circumstances should you act rashly! Criminals often offer animals for sale that don't even exist or whose photos they have just stolen from other sites. A current example: nadinewelpezurverfgung.com. If you buy here you will have to pay deposits and will later be contacted by fraudulent shipping companies asking for more money. Please note: None of your payments will ever result in the delivery of your new pet.

Recognize fraud on nadinewelpezurverfgung.com
The website nadinewelpezurverfgung.com may seem serious at first glance. There are pictures for all dogs, the animals depicted have been given names and the classification into the respective breeds is correct. However, a closer look at the website reveals clear deficiencies:
Fraudulent freight forwarding by the same criminals
If you decide to purchase a puppy on nadinewelpezurverfgung.com, you will be asked to pay upfront. After payment, the shipping process should be initiated. In this specific case, this is done via the fraudulent shipping company pet-wings.com:

You will also find more detailed company information on pet-wings.com in vain. Contact is again only possible via WhatsApp and the website, like nadinewelpezurverfgung.com, was only registered via an anonymization service a few weeks ago.
Instead of a smooth delivery, further payment requests follow in the name of the shipping company. They should pay for other shipping boxes, more vaccinations are necessary, legal fees arise... The criminals' creativity seems limitless when it comes to reasons for further payments. The animal will never be delivered!
Selling animals via social media
Pet trade fraud occurs not only through websites, but often directly through social media such as Facebook or Instagram. But the pattern is the same: you have to pay money in advance to get an animal depicted in cute photos that doesn't actually exist.
You should also be careful with animals that are supposed to be given away on Facebook!
Tips for buying animals online
In order to protect animal welfare and protect consumers from fraud, the animal trade in Austria is strictly regulated. The private trade in animals over the Internet is therefore almost completely banned in this country. Anyone looking for animals on the Internet should definitely pay attention to breeder certificates and sales authorizations. Importing from abroad must be avoided. If in your case it is not possible to view the animals or visit the breeding facilities, no purchase may be made.
