Fake SMS messages are currently circulating in the name of the Sparkasse, asking users to switch to pushTAN 2.0. There is a link in the SMS, which is used by cybercriminals for phishing purposes.
The company also issued a warning about this on Twitter:
Fake!
The Sparkasse expressly warns here. These SMS do not come from the banking company. They are fake and are intended to give the impression that action is needed.
The possible period for the switch to “pushTAN 2.0” is stated as “by May 15, 2022 at the latest”, which is already in the past. – This should already raise doubts when receiving such a message.
The link does not lead to any official website of the banking company, even if “spk.de” may suggest that it is an abbreviation.
If you enter your data here after accessing the link, it will end up with cybercriminals who want to access exactly this data. Therefore: Do not click on the link in the message under any circumstances, and certainly do not enter any personal data or bank access data.
This is a phishing attempt that is sent in the name of the Sparkasse. She distances herself and warns against these text messages.
