If you read some articles on this topic on the Internet, you get the feeling that WhatsApp is about to explode at any moment and that the WhatsApp user in question has something bad to fear. But this is not the case. You can explain the topic calmly and without a sensational headline without making you gasp!

This is what the red exclamation mark means on WhatsApp

the red exclamation mark on WhatsApp

If you send a message on WhatsApp and a small red exclamation mark appears next to it, it means that the message was not sent . This could be because the internet connection is bad dead zone at that moment or it could be that you no internet connection ! If you only see a clock next to the message, it hasn't even left your smartphone.

Just try again when the internet connection is sufficient.

  1. To do this, tap the red exclamation mark once.
  2. A menu will appear with the option to “Resend Message.”
  3. Select this and send the message again.
  4. If that doesn't work, copy the message and paste it back into the chat so you don't have to write it again.
