WhatsApp wants to ensure that your messages remain private and protected and is therefore constantly working on new strategies. now announced in a blog entry This feature provides additional protection for your very personal conversations.

The Chat Lock feature allows you to lock a chat, which moves it from your inbox to its own folder. This folder can only be accessed by you, either by entering your device password or using biometric data such as your fingerprint. In addition, the content of the chat is automatically hidden from notifications.

These features are particularly useful for people who occasionally share their phone with other family members, or in situations where someone else is holding your phone while a specific chat message comes in.

This is how you can activate a chat block on WhatsApp

To lock a chat, simply tap the contact or group name and select the Lock option. You can reopen a locked chat by pulling down the inbox and entering your device password or using biometric scanning.
