In the last few days and weeks, Internet users have repeatedly received an email that was allegedly sent by WhatsApp. This states that you are supposedly not yet connected via the platform. This is the reason why you receive the message as a text preview by email. In order to read the message in its entirety, you have to follow a link and log in.
This is this email with the following content:

From: WhatsApp 3.2

Subject: Message could not be delivered ( +49 171 4832 … )Dear participant,
since you are not yet connected via our platform, the following message was not delivered:

Note: This email did NOT come from WhatsApp!
If you follow the link, you will not end up on https://www.whatsapp.com but on “WhatsFriends” with the URL “https://datingleben.com”.

Here you can supposedly get to know other people after answering a few questions. We assume that it is not possible to determine whether the offer is subject to a charge. The imprint about the operator is also very rare. Apart from the fact that the page came from Bulgaria, it was not clear. There is a link to the “Terms and Conditions” and “Data Protection”, but these also leave a lot to be desired and there is no contact option.
The fact is:
This email has nothing to do with WhatsApp and was not delivered by WhatsApp. This scam tries to lure users to a dating platform.
