Even if you have deleted your WhatsApp account, the messenger can still access your data in one way or another.
WhatsApp reads data even if the account has been deleted or the service is not used
For data protection reasons, many people delete WhatsApp from their smartphone.
The messenger service can still access data if friends give the app access to the phone book.
to Business Insider , Facebook can access a lot of WhatsApp data even if you have deleted your account. This is possible if your contacts continue to use the service and have saved your data in the digital phone book.
WhatsApp is at the top when it comes to messengers - around two billion users use the app, making the Facebook-owned service the market leader.

Despite its popularity, many people turn against the messenger service and delete the app from their smartphone for data protection reasons. But even if you delete your Facebook or WhatsApp account, Messenger can still access much of your data.
Collect data even without an account
The messenger doesn't even need a hidden backdoor: to get the desired data, it simply accesses the phone book of your contacts.
This makes it possible for the messenger service to retrieve recorded data about you. An example: Your best friend has saved your birthday, place of residence, email address, phone number(s), family names and information, website, Twitter name and other information under your name. If you now grant WhatsApp access to the phone book, the app knows all this data.
