At the moment, WhatsApp users are receiving a strange message. There is supposed to be a surprise via a link. This is what lies behind it:
WhatsApp message promises surprise: In most cases, clicking or tapping on an external link does not end well and leads to unpleasant surprises in the form of data collectors or phishing scammers.
But that doesn't apply this time! Admittedly, the news seems quite dubious at first glance. The word surprise three times, framed by shocked emojis and then a grammatically incorrect spelling of “see that” with four references to an external link... someone can quickly come to the conclusion that it is actually a scam. (Please note our note at the end of the article)

That's why we from the Mimikama editorial team are brave and click on the link! (picture series)
Where does the link lead?
We first get to a website with a picture showing a gift. Here too, we follow the request and unpack the gift and get to another page that, for a change, does not contain any fraud or other criminal activity!

Behind the link are Christmas and New Year congratulations!
Rarely, but it does happen here and there that there is no fraud hidden behind a strange WhatsApp message. The graphical design of the site is probably a matter of taste, but we're just happy that someone meant well for once. 😉
Personalize congratulations:
Do you now want to send this surprise to your WhatsApp friends? If so, you can personalize the congratulations so that your name appears above the congratulations.
To do this, you can either enter your name at the bottom of the website and click Go or change the name manually at the end of the URL.
For example, https://touch-here.site/de/chn?f=KARSTEN becomes https://touch-here.site/de/chn?f=Mimikama.
Voila! And now you're sending congratulations in your name.
