Attention to this WhatsApp voicemail: The emails informed the recipients that they had received a voice message with the subject: “New Incoming Voicemessage” on their WhatsApp account. In the email you will be asked to click a link to listen to the message. This variant is not new; we already reported .
+++ Update: This “WhatsApp voicemail” has been making the rounds again since September 5th, 2022+++

But be careful! After clicking on the “play link” in the email, you are redirected to a website that ends up trying to install a Trojan (JS/Kryptik). This was discovered by the experts at Armorblox , a US security platform. But the US IT news site Bleepingcomputer also warns that there are currently phishing emails that claim that there is a WhatsApp voice message for the recipient.
These are these or similar email messages from WhatsApp voicemail

Security experts write that it is a combination of a phishing variant and a Trojan!
Even if the email at first seems as if it came from WhatsApp, this is not true. As soon as you click or tap the “play button”, you will be redirected to a website where you will be asked to “be a human” (I am not a robot). If you click on this confirmation here too, a Trojan will be installed on the respective device.
„When clicking the “Play” link in the email, recipients were redirected to a page that attempted to install a JS/Kryptik Trojan. This is a malicious, obfuscated JavaScript code embedded in HTML pages that redirects the browser to a malicious URL and implements a specific exploit.”

The sender email domain is “mailman. cbddmo .ru”. This in turn should belong to the Moscow Road Safety Center.

The experts suspect that the fraudsters are misusing this valid and reputable domain to bypass the spam filters of the respective email programs.
Recognize the danger in advance > Whatsapp does not send voice messages via email
The fact is that these emails did not come from WhatsApp. The websites to which you are redirected as soon as you click on the play button also have nothing to do with the WhatsApp messenger service. WhatsApp voice messages or voice messages from your contacts in your WhatsApp list are ALWAYS delivered within the WhatsApp app and never by email!
