The claim
A video of a farmers' demonstration is being circulated on social media in which the chant "We're fed up" can be heard
Our conclusion
The chants heard in the video do not come from the farmers, but were added later. This is the singing of football fans.
Misinformation often circulates on social media caused by the combination of images and false audio recordings. Not only is this misleading, but it can also lead to a distorted perception of events.
Rumors/claims
The viral video shows numerous tractors at night surrounded by headlights and is described as a farmers' demonstration in various German cities. The tone suggests a loud chant from the protesters: “We’re fed up.”

The video is usually Stralsund or Wolgast in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Other places are mentioned in some posts.
Evaluation
The discrepancy between the visual and auditory elements of the video, as well as the lack of visible crowds or drums heard in the audio, suggest an afterthought.
The facts
An X user found a TikTok video that is obviously the source. It was posted on January 6, 2024.
The TikTok post does not use an original sound, but rather a so-called sound that TikTok users can use for their videos. This can be recognized by a musical note under the video. The unsuitable audio track is therefore clearly visible.

The sound used is displayed as “We Have Die Schnauze Voll” from VFL Bochum FanChants & VFL Fans Fan Chants. This audio has already been used in many videos , mainly in connection with protests against the traffic light coalition.
The claim that the video was recorded in Deggendorf could not be verified. The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Farmers' Association also confirmed to AFP that there were no such chants during the protests there.
Conclusion – the soundtrack was subsequently changed in this video
Using misleading audio in videos can be a powerful tool to manipulate sentiment or spread false stories. This underlines the importance of critically evaluating online content.
