There is a persistent belief that it is possible to see who has visited your Facebook profile.
Posts like this appear in many Facebook groups:

“More than 273 people have already viewed my FB in 2018.
And I even found out that my ex was one of the people who visited my profile the most HAHA..?
Find out who visits YOUR PROFILE! ??”
And that's not all: for reasons that have not yet been fully clarified, many users' own friends are automatically marked under such posts ( we reported on such comments ).

Any programmer who has worked with the Facebook interface will be able to confirm that there no way to display the visitors to a Facebook profile! In the most extreme case, such apps or sites will show you which users you have interacted with the most (through likes and comments) and then claim that these were your visitors.
What can happen if you click the link?
Most of the time you have to install a specific app, which looks something like this:

Of course, you first have to take part in competitions (which in reality involve data collectors or expensive subscriptions).

Such apps then get access
- public profile,
- Friends list,
- E-mail address,
- Chronicle posts and
- photos
This is just one of several traps!
In other cases, you are directed to an external website that only looks like Facebook. Supposedly you have to log in again, but in reality fraudsters get the access data for the profile and can then use it to their heart's content to spread such posts without the user's knowledge.
Users often believe that they have been “hacked”, even though in principle they voluntarily gave their login .
Conclusion: Do not click on such links. Never!
There was and is no way to see profile visitors. Facebook never intended this, and there were and are no “tricks” to get around this. In the best case scenario, you will be shown a selection from your friends list, but most of the time you will get supposed competitions pushed on you by data collectors, slip into expensive subscriptions, pass on your login to fraudsters or get malware and viruses on your computer through fake sites.
